[ Tips ]

You might find yourself in a situation one day when you’ll need either Italics or Bold but those options won’t be available to you, for example like when you select Viner Hand ITC it won’t allow you to make it Italic as you can see in the picture below.

Now there’s a way around this, we can create kind of like a disguise. The options are all there in Photoshop, you just probably didn’t notice it. So here’s how,  you go to Windows > Character and a character palette for your fonts should appear.  Highlight your text and click on the arrow facing downwards in the top right corner of the palette menu. You’ll see options like All Caps or Small Caps etc etc.

Pick Faux Bold or Faux Italics, with this you can make your font look Bold and Italic like the image below.

Too easy yeah? it’s all there in the options baby.
